Dax To Make Chiefs’ Debut v Cape Town?
Kaizer Chiefs are looking to sort out Andriamirado ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana’s situation over the current international break, and there is a chance that he could be ready for their next game.
The Madagascan international was announced by Chiefs in June following an impressive COSAFA Cup in South Africa, however, there has been an ongoing battle with his former club, Fosa Juniors, regarding his signature.
It was confirmed last week that the South African transfer window had closed without the midfielder being registered; however, it’s thought that Chiefs have been advised that Fosa are not a professional club and that they believe the transfer window is not relevant to his situation.
If the matter can be finalised in the next week then Andrianarimanana could be in line to get his first taste of action with the Amakhosi, and it is believed that he is fit to play having started training at the club around a month ago.
Chiefs face Cape Town City on September 15th in the Mother City as they continue their hunt for a first league win of 2018/19, and ‘Dax’ would no doubt be a welcome addition for Giovanni Solinas if the club does manage to finalise the situation.
Meanwhile, Lebogang Manyama and Mario Booysen could also make their debuts just after the international break as they look to reach full fitness.
