As a midfield star is being linked with the big guns, an agent representing the player has since issued a comment regarding the transfer talk.
AmaZulu midfielder Jabulani Ncobeni’s name has been bandied about for a potential move to Gauteng, with sources indicating that Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are all monitoring the player, although the objective is to assist the KwaZulu-Natal club to move away from the relegation zone.
Ncobeni’s representative, Ayanda Sigwili from Dynasty Sports, has commented on the talk linking the 27-year-old player with the big guns in Mzansi’s topflight.
“From my side, I haven’t worked on anything about Jabulani. To be honest, it’s very difficult to work on anything at the moment because of the situation (with COVID-19). No one wants to commit because some of the clubs depend on the PSL grant and aren’t sure how things will be going forward after the League lost a sponsor (Absa) and stuff,” Sigwili said, as reported in edition 1188 of Soccer Laduma.
“Yes, there are some clubs in a better position to sign players and plan – clubs that are financially stable – your Sundowns, Stellenbosch FC, Pirates and Chiefs. But for many clubs, it’s difficult to commit. We are waiting and we will see what happens. Hopefully, in the next few days I will start working on something,” the intermediary added.
