A veteran South African goalkeeper is keen on reuniting with his former coach Muhsin Ertugral at Ajax Cape Town.
For the past few weeks, Ajax have had Shuaib Walters training with the side under Ertugral and his technical team. Having struggled for game-time at Cape Town City last season, Walters has decided to train with Ajax in search of a new team and game-time for the upcoming season.
Walters did well the last time he played under Ertugral during their days at Mpumalanga Black Aces in the 2015/16 season.
The 36-year-old shot-stopper will be looking at impressing the Turkish coach for a chance to be signed by the Mother City outfit.
While it was initially thought that Walters would no longer continue as a player after being linked with a coaching role at City, it seems that there has been a change of heart as the former Bafana Bafana player is keen on continuing playing.
As reported by the Siya crew, the Urban Warriors have also welcomed two Mamelodi Sundowns players Keletso Makgalwa and Khayelihle Shozi at their training, with the Ikamva-based side set to make a decision on the duo.
