Ajax Cape Town Opt Against Mamelodi Sundowns-Bound Mozambican
Ajax Cape Town have opted against a loan deal for a Mamelodi Sundowns-bound attacking midfielder.
It was reported last month, December, that Sundowns are close to agreeing to a deal to bring Luis Miqquisone on board at the Chloorkop-based club and according to Siya sources, the midfielder was set to be loaned out to Ajax.
However, sources have since revealed to Soccer Laduma that the Urban Warriors have opted against bringing Miquissone on loan at the club, indicating that the parties involved were unable to come to a mutual agreement regarding one of the clauses.
Sundowns are yet to officially confirm the signing of the player, although, as reported last week, Siya sources have indicated that the deal is as good as done.
On the other hand, despite being unable to land the Mozambican international, Ajax have made several signings days before and during the current January transfer window, acquiring the services of Tendai Ndoro, Fagrie Lakay and Samuel Julies.
It now remains to be seen whether Head Coach Mushin Ertugral will look to make any more changes to his squad in the coming weeks.
