Ndoro Dropped Amid Eligibility Investigation

Ajax Cape Town Have Dropped Tendai Ndoro For Tonight's Game

By Soccer Laduma - Jan 26, 2018 02:19 PM
Ajax Cape Town appear to be taking no chances this evening with regards to Tendai Ndoro’s eligibility situation, leaving him out of the squad to face Free State Stars tonight.

The Siya crew reported this week that Ndoro’s transfer to Ajax had been brought into question when it was realised that he had played for three different clubs already this season, something that contravenes FIFA’s rules.

FIFA’s rulebook states that a player may be registered for three teams in a single season, but only play for two, and with Ndoro having previously played for Orlando Pirates and Al Faisaly in Saudi Arabia, he was therefore not allowed to play for the Urban Warriors.

Having already featured twice – scoring on his debut, there is now an investigation underway regarding the way forward on the Zimbabwean attacker, with the possibility of a fine or point deduction for Muhsin Ertugral’s side.

With that in mind, the crew has been informed that Ndoro is not in the squad for this evening’s encounter, and it would seem as though they don’t have plans to use him again until a conclusion on the matter is reached.

Had John Comitis not been forced to exit Ajax CT; non of this would have taken place. In fact, Ndoro could have never been signed since it would have not made any business sense to add him to the Ajax CT player roster.

I said so on my last comment! He was not suppose to play but our management of our psl teams can't even read a simple rule and I'm disappointed
