Ajax Cape Town will report for pre-season training today, as they await the outcome of their upcoming court appearance.
As confirmed by the club last month, the Urban Warriors will return to court on the 14 and 15 June, where a review of the award of arbitrator William Mokhare regarding the docking of points from Ajax will be heard.
“Ajax Cape Town are seeking the court to order that they are reinstated to 15th position and rightfully earn their right to participate in the play-offs,” the club confirmed last month.

However, in the meantime, the team will report for pre-season training today, June 11, with the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns’ on-loan players, Yannick Zakri, Siyanda Zwane and Rheece Evans all expected to join up at Ikamva, as their stay with Ajax are only set to come to an end on June 30.
Head Coach Muhsin Ertugral will look to prepare his side to return to action, should the court rule in the Mother City-based club’s favour, allowing a re-match of the promotion/relegation play-offs.
Although, indications are that the court case may drag on for several weeks, as the outcome of the hearing could affect Black Leopards, who have already been promoted to South Africa’s top flight, meaning that the club will appeal a decision ruled in Ajax’s favour.
Now, it remains to be seen what will be the outcome out of the legal process, as Ajax look to be prepared, should the play-offs be ordered to be replayed.
