Vincent Kobola recently parted ways with Cape Town City, after his influential contribution to the Mother City-based club in the past two seasons.
However, the player is now set to find his next football destination, with the 33-year-old believed to be linked with a move to his former Head Coach Muhsin Ertugral’s side.
According to sources, the Urban Warriors’ mentor is keen to bring the player on board, despite their situation in the new season.
Indications are that he is keen to utilise the player’s services, as Benni McCarthy did in the 2017/18 season, where he may not have had regular game-time, but was key on the field as well as in the changing room.
With the player currently a free agent, he will be free to put pen to paper with any interested suitor and may not be in any hurry to make a decision about his immediate future.
However, Ajax, on the other hand, are yet to know where they will be campaigning in the new season, as the PSL confirmed yesterday that they will be appeal Judge Denise Fischer’s ruling which saw the Urban Warriors reinstated in the Absa Premiership.
