An Africa Cup of Nations-bound PSL star is likely to get another opportunity to further impress overseas club scouts at the tournament to be played in Egypt from next month.
With Bloemfontein Celtic’s Ronald Pfumbidzai set to be one of the PSL players going to AFCON, after being called up to the Zimbabwe national team’s final squad for the continental football showpiece, the defender could use the opportunity to impress for a potential return abroad.

As reported in edition 1123 of Soccer Laduma, Celtic are at risk of losing Pfumbidzai, as the Zimbabwean international’s contract is nearing an end.
The 24-year-old is believed to have attracted interest from PSL and overseas clubs that are believed to be keen on his services.
The left-back will see his contract with Celtic coming to an end next month, although the Mangaung outfit does have an option of extension to it by another year, which is yet to be exercised.
Pfumbidzai’s representative, Michael Ngobeni from M Sport Management, said about the player’s future, in the latest edition of Soccer Laduma, “Ronald Pfumbidzai is left with a year’s option on his deal with the club. There is interest in the player from South African clubs that are chasing him, as well as from outside.”

Pfumbidzai has been with Siwelele since 2017, having joined the club from Zimbabwe’s CAPS United.
He has been one of the regulars at the Manguang team.
Meanwhile, Celtic’s chairman, Max Tshabalala, has confirmed to the Siya crew that the club is currently busy working on issues pertaining to players’ contracts coming to an end, among other issues on their agenda.
