With potential deals pending for some players who parted ways with respective clubs, at least three players have been signed by the Absa Premiership clubs that used the past days to reinforce their squads.
The most notable recent signing is that of Mark Mayambela – who has already been given his first appearance by Cape Town City – and scored on debut against AmaZulu.
AmaZulu, who are looking to further improve under new coach Jozef Vukusic, are understood to have bolstered their squad with the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs defender Mario Booysen as they prepare for the season’s resumption with a Telkom Knockout match against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Meanwhile, Baroka FC have bolstered their ranks with signing former Ajax Cape Town midfielder Innocent Nemukondeni.
As reported by the Siya crew, AmaZulu are still to decide on the future of Tsepo Masilela, who has been training with the team, while Thobani Mncwango and Tshepo Tema are waiting to hear from Black Leopards regarding their trials at the club.
As reported in edition 1145 of Soccer Laduma, former Maritzburg United’s Kenyan defender Brian Onyango may have to look elsewhere for a new club, with indications that he will not be signed by Orlando Pirates after training with the team.
