Sundowns Keeping Tabs On Baroka Star

Mamelodi Sundowns may have been pretty busy in the transfer market this season already, although there’s at least one more player who they’re keeping a close eye on.
According to Siya sources, Masandawana are considering making a move for Baroka’s Abdi Banda, with the Tanzanian centre back having impressed for Bakgaga during his first season in the Absa Premiership.
Banda was almost ever-present for the club last season as he played 28 games throughout the course of the campaign, and the Siya crew has previously reported that he had attracted interest both locally and internationally through his performances.
Now, with Pitso Mosimane known to be on the hunt to shore up his backline, it appears that Banda has made his way onto his potential wanted list, although the fact that he is a foreigner could possibly hinder the chances of a move.
Baroka will be reluctant to sell a player who was arguably their top performer in 2017/18, although it is thought that they would be open to letting him leave if an offer was too good to refuse.
