The Glamour Boys take on the Brazilians at FNB Stadium on Saturday in the second edition of the Shell Helix Ultra Cup, but both sides have players currently away with various national teams as part of the international break.
In total, nine players from the respective sides will miss out on the encounter in Gauteng this coming weekend as they represent their nations across the continent, and it remains to be seen what starting XIs Ernst Middendorp and Pitso Mosimane will go for when selecting their troops for the clash.
The likes of Erick Mathoho, Thapelo Morena, Mosa Lebusa and Themba Zwane are all set to be in action for Bafana Bafana this weekend against Mali, while Siyabonga Ngezana, Happy Mashiane and Phakamani Mahlambi are currently in Egypt with South Africa’s U23s.
On top of that, Lazarous Kambole and Denis Onyango are away from Zambia and Uganda respectively, meaning that they too will not feature in tomorrow afternoon’s clash at FNB Stadium.
Chiefs and Sundowns will go head to head at 16h00 tomorrow afternoon as the Glamour Boyus look to win the trophy for the first time after they were beaten in the inaugural SHUC clash prior to the start of last season.
