Royal AM coach Serame Moeketsi hasn't lost hope of winning their case to be promoted to the DStv Premiership.
The Durban-based side are still in a legal battle with the League after losing the case which saw Sekhukhune United being crowned GladAfrica Championship.
Moeketsi, speaking at the launch of the KZN Premier's Cup, says as a club they still consider themselves champions and won't entertain anything else as the matter is still with their lawyers.
"I think I'm being addressed incorrectly because I'm a GladAfrica Championship champ, we won the league fairly, so you guys must not make amistake," Moeketsi said, addressing the media.
"Secondly, in terms of motivating players, we've got physiologists that has been dealing with players and the best thing, we still have the same squad.
"We've been doing motivation sessions, keeping the team united during this period and with the case, I can't say much, because everything is still sub judice, and let's not go there."
Royal AM were drawn with Richards Bay FC in the first preliminary game, while Uthongathi FC will face Maritzburg United. On Sunday, AmaZulu FC will face Lamontville Golden Arrows in the first semifinal and the winners of the preliminary matches will face off in the second semifinal.
