Kaizer Chiefs players have been challenged to do some introspection after coach Gavin Hunt lost his job without finishing his first season at Naturena.
Amakhosi have endured a tough season domestically this campaign, after losing the the premiership title on the last day of last season.
Former midfielder Rene Richards says, as much as he understands the decision had to be taken about Hunt, feels players should also take the blame as they've struggled to do well for the last six years with different coaches.
"Coach Gavin Hunt is a good coach but unfortunately the results were not on his favour. From the outside, the team was not doing well and he had to be the one taking the blame, even though I feel players should also ask themselves some serious questions," Richards tells the Siya crew.
The last time Amakhosi won a trophy it was under coach Stuart Baxter, who is a frontrunner to take over the helm at Chiefs.
"With talks of coach Stuart Baxter coming in, it gives us something positive because of what he did for the club. I think it is a good choice if they were to go for him."
