As he begins his search for a new club in the coming months following his departure from Black Leopards, winger Thuso Phala says he can’t be too picky.
He will turn 34 next season and, usually, at that age club hopping is an extreme spot – but Phala told the Siya crew he still has plenty in the tank.

It was confirmed on Thursday that he and Leopards were amicably parting ways two months before his contract expired on June 30.
“I still feel I have a lot to offer with my experience. It’s all about waiting for this virus to die down and we can talk about a way forward with my manager (Ms Basia Michaels of QT Sports),” he said this week.
Phala has played for Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United, which suggests maybe his demands could be high. But he said all he wants to do is play the game that he loves after doing it all, including playing for Bafana Bafana at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments at the height of his career.
“No one thought this would be happening, the league not being able to continue,” he said of the Coronavirus pandemic that’s halted football.
“Everything feels like it’s on hold, but I am not too picky. I just want to play football, that’s all. I feel I have a lot to offer and I think we will just have to see what happens.”
