Former PSL defender Phelelani Mpangase has been impressed by the way Royal AM did business in the January transfer window.
All eyes have been on Royal during the window, with Victor Letsaolo making headlines.
According to Mpangase, the new kids in the block has done well in January transfer window, picking up Thabo Matlaba and Mxolisi Macuphu as best and needed signings for MaMkhize's side.
"I think Royal AM mean business, signing Mxolisi Macuphu and Thabo Matlaba shows that they know what they doing," Mpangase told the Siya crew.
"Macuphu is an old school number one, he is similar to the likes of Shaun Bartlett, he brings something different because Ndumiso Mabena and Victor Letsaolo are not the same.
"Then you have Matlaba, as much as he is old but you can't doubt his talent. He can still offer a lot to the team, so they really did well and releasing players they don't need, was a good move and they really changing KZN football."
The former Maritzburg United defender feels the other three teams from KZN did not do well in the market.
"The other teams, I think Maritzburg United did good but expected more to send a message about changing things, as they struggling. AmaZulu FC and Golden Arrows didn't do much too, I guess they are happy with what they have, but for me they needed serious changes in their team to motivate the current squad."
