The future of striker Lehlohonolo Majoro at AmaZulu that has been a subject of speculation in recent weeks has been publicly discussed by the Durban-based club.
As the former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates star struggled for game time and form at Usuthu under the club’s former coach Jozef Vukusic earlier in the season, speculation had been rife that the 34-year-old would be allowed to leave.

The rumours were further fuelled when the forward and teammates Thembela Sikhakhane, Michael Morton, Jabulani Ncobeni, and Nhlanhla Vilakazi were put on ‘a special training program’, as conformed by the KwaZulu-Natal club in February, though in the media it came out as that the players had been suspended.
However, during the bio-bubble as Usuthu fought to retain their topflight status, Major was one of the players who shone with his impressive performances, scoring goals and providing assists.

AmaZulu general manager, Lunga Sokhela, has confirmed that the player is staying for the remaining year of his contract.
“Mr Majoro still has a contract for another season with the club. So, we definitely will be continuing with him, as you say he really was a standout player, especially in this bio-bubble. We hope he can resume on the same form and continue for the rest of the season,” said the general manager, speaking to the media this week.
