Retired former professional footballer Ntokozo Sikhakhane is driven by his upbringing in his passion to assist aspiring footballers back home in KwaZulu-Natal in their dream of playing at the highest level.
Sikhakhane – who played for Kaizer Chiefs, Dynamos, Bloemfontein Celtic, Bidvest Wits and AmaZulu in Mzansi’s topflight, is keen on nurturing aspiring youngsters to follow in his footsteps to the professional ranks one day.

“My passion is with development as development is key. Schools’ football must be back. I’m enjoying myself working with kids at schools as I’m the coach of the KZN Under-13 school team. The problem is that everyone wants to coach in the PSL (Absa Premiership) just because they want money. No one wants to work with the young ones because that needs a lot of passion and dedication,” the KwaMashu-born ex-midfielder told the Siya crew.

“I was well developed by Chiefs so I know what it takes to get there as a player. If you look at the players who come from development you will see the difference between them and those who didn’t go to development. Development is the way forward. This country is so blessed with talent and it just needs guidance from the right people,” added the 37-year-old.
