Going into today’s match against Chippa United, AmaZulu could be in trouble in their fight against relegation as history favours the Eastern Cape outfit in clashes between the two sides.
Usuthu will be at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium this evening for their crucial Absa Premiership match against the Chilli Boys.
The Durban-based side come from a 2-1 loss against Golden Arrows in their most recent match, which was at home before the weekend of the Nedbank Cup Last 16 fixtures.
AmaZulu and Chippa have played nine league matches since the 2012/13 season, with the Port Elizabeth side claiming six wins from those, while the KwaZulu-Natal outfit has won just one.
Two matches between the two sides have ended in draw. The first round match in November at the Princess Magogo Stadium ended in a 2-0 win for Chippa, with former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs winger William Twala scoring both goals.
