Polokwane City coach, Jozef Vukusic, is linked with a potential move to newly promoted club Stellenbosch FC as clubs advance their preparations for the 2019/20 season.
As reported by the Siya crew, interest has been pouring in for the services of Vukusic, after he confirmed that he has told Rise and Shine to find a new coach, as he is not intending going back to the club after his time out with his family at home in Slovakia.
According to sources, Vukusic’s name has been bandied about for a potential move to Stellenbosch, although the Mother City outfit has not officially confirmed any technical team adjustments lined up for next season.
The club won automatic promotion under coach Steve Barker, following an impressive season the team had with 56 points from their 30 matches.
However, Vukusic is still contracted to the Limpopo outfit as he is left with one year with them from the two-year contract he signed when he joined the club last year.
As confirmed by the coach, he has spoken to only the team manager Bernard Molekwa so far about leaving, while planning to also reach out to the chairman Johnny Mogaladi to inform him of his decision.
Sources close to Stellenbosch have confirmed that Barker had been on the last year of his contract with the club this season, and so far, it is unclear if the parties have reached an agreement about the extension of the deal.
