Tau is currently into the last week of his 10-day isolation period, after doing duty for Bafana Bafana in their crucial AFCON qualifiers against Ghana and Sudan, in which he was set to miss Brighton’s matches against Manchester United and Everton respectively.
In a recent Twitter Q&A with his technical sponsor PUMA, Tau opened up on whether he would consider a return to the PSL at this stage of his career.
“Not now, still early for me to even think of coming back,” was Tau’s response to questions on whether he is ready to return to Mzansi.
In addition, the 26-year-old responded to a question on whether he aspires to play in a Soweto Derby before calling it a day.
“Soweto Derby is very attractive,” Tau tweeted.

With his isolation period set to come to an end, Tau will be hoping that he can work his way back into the reckoning under coach Graham Potter, especially with growing talk in the UK that he could be set for an exit from the Seagulls this campaign.
