The PSL is back in full swing, but former Orlando Pirates midfielder, Mark Mayambela, who has returned from Sweden, has not yet found a new club in South Africa to play for.
Mayambela, who is seemingly not returning to Sweden where he became a fan favourite at Djurgardens IF, is still in South Africa trying to make a move happen.
It seems as if the 27-year-old desperately wants to return to the PSL but so far no side has signed the free agent.
As such, Mayambela could still join any PSL club or move abroad even though the transfer window is closed and he has been linked with a move to his beginnings.
The Siya crew recently reported that Mayambela could return to former side Bloemfontein Celtic but the club’s CEO, Khumbulani Konco, had denied any such links.
"Professor" enjoyed some magical moments while playing for Siwelele and became a fan favourite, which earned him a big move to Pirates in 2010.
Mayambela was also linked with a move to Port Elizabeth-based side, Chippa United, but again a move hasn’t materialized so far.
Overall, Mayambela has made 78 PSL appearances, scoring three goals and assisting a further eight.
