South African Pens Brazilian Deal

Tyroane Sandows Has Got Himself A New Club

By Soccer Laduma - Sep 06, 2017 04:50 PM
South Africa attacker, Tyroane Sandows, has landed himself a move to Brazilian club, Figueirense, after deciding to put pen to paper in Florianopolis.

The Siya crew reported earlier this week that the 22-year-old could be on the verge of joining Figueira as a free agent after leaving Gremio recently, however, he did have a couple of European options on the table.

Now, as expected, Sandows has secured his future in Brazil by signing for the Serie B outfit and will be hoping to start getting more game time under his belt now that his move has been finalised after he completed his medical today.

The crew has been informed that Sandows penned a two-year deal with Figueirense and he will be hoping that there is a chance of him making his debut as soon as possible now that the paperwork is all done.

Sandows has represented South Africa at youth level and was part of the Olympic squad for the tournament in Rio de Janeiro last year.

Mamelodi Sundowns forward Keletso Makgalwa says he is not expecting to regularly in the first team this season, as he focuses on learning and improving his game. The 20-year-old, who was the star of Sundowns’ MultiChoice Diski Challenge (MDC) conquering side last season, has been promoted this season by head coach Pitso Mosimane, along with defender Thendo Mukumela. While he waits for his first team chance, Makgalwa will continue to play in the in the MDC which kicks off this weekend. “For me this season it’s all about learning. I prefer to play maybe next year because i think it'll be time for me play because this year I want to know how they play, understand the style of play [in the first team],” Makgalwa said during Wednesday’s MDC press conference at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium. “The coach Pitso Mosimane doesn't want any lazy people. All i have to do is to work hard and show commitment on my work and also push - and next season i feel things will come right.''

How come there's no room for him in Bafana Bafoony? This is like Chiefs players who play in the national team but can't play for Chiefs.
