Turkish Reports Have Revealed That Lebogang Manyama Will Be Returning To South Africa
Reports coming out of Turkey have revealed that a former Cape Town City midfielder is set to leave his club in the Turkish top tier.
Lebogang Manyama joined Turkish-outfit, Konyaspor from City during September last year, where he made just 13 appearances in all competitions.
The Siya reported in the past weeks that the likes of SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns were interested in luring the player back home to South Africa.
However, it was recently revealed that the midfielder may have been given a lifeline in Europe, indicating that he could stay with the club.
Now, according to the Turkish press, YeniAkit, reported yesterday, May 21 that the player is set to make a move back to Mzansi.
“Konyaspor's unsuccessful footballer Lebogang Manyama could depart from the team.
“Maikane Phiri, the manager of Atiker Konyaspor's South African footballer Lebogang Manyama, spoke to the foreign press. Phiri said that not many chances (were) given by (head coach) Sergen Yalçının, (who) said that (he) can leave the team and (if another) club called.
“Manyama is expected to sign (for) a team in the Premier League,” loosely translated from Turkish on YeniAkit’s official website.
