AFC Bournemouth’s out-of-favour South African striker, Tokelo Rantie, is believed to be a target for Belgian Pro League outfit, Sint-Truidense VV.
Rantie, who has struggled with injuries of late, has battled to secure himself a regular spot with The Cherries since his move from Malmo in Sweden, and it is expected that he will spend the second half of this season out on loan.
According to Siya sources, STVV are interested in bringing ‘TK’ to their side as they look to finish as high up the league table as possible, with Bafana Bafana legend and Rantie’s former Orlando Pirates teammate, Benni McCarthy, knowing full well what the striker is capable of.
Another plus for Rantie at STVV would be the presence of fellow Stars of Africa graduate, May Mahlangu, who seems to be finding his feet under Chris O’Loughlin, scoring two goals in his last three games.
While Rantie is expected to move in this window, with interest from both Belgium and Holland, his destination is still unknown, though with just a few days of the January transfer window left, time is running out.
