Rantie Set For New Euro Deal?
Tokelo Rantie Could Have Earned Himself A New Contract In Turkey
Tokelo Rantie is believed to have done enough to secure himself a new contract with Turkish outfit, Genclerbirligi, as his current deal draws to an end.
Rantie hasn’t had the easiest of times in the Turkish Super Lig since his move from AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League, but it appears that the club has been happy with his contribution thus far.
The 27-year-old will see his deal in Turkey expire at the end of the current season, but - as reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, there is thought to be a new two-year contract on the table for him.
Genclerbirligi will be looking to try and get Rantie’s future sorted out as soon as possible if they are to keep him, and they will no doubt be wary of losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season if they don’t move quickly.
Dino Ndlovu’s side, Qarabag, previously showed an interest in Rantie, and with Ndlovu possibly on the move to China, they may rekindle their interest if he is available without a fee.
A new two-year deal would see Rantie through until 2020.
