Serero In Battle To Join Arsenal & Co
Thulani Serero Will Do Battle For A Europa League Spot Tonight
Thulani Serero will be hoping to join the likes of Arsenal and Olympiacos if all goes well at the end of this season with Vitesse.
The 28-year-old South African has been in fine form for the Dutch side this season, playing 29 Eredivisie games for the club as they went on to finish sixth and secure a spot in the UEFA Europe League play-offs.
Vitesse now face ADO Den Haag over two legs as they look to return to the UEL, with the first leg set to take place in Den Haag this evening.
Serero, whose future with Bafana Bafana is very much up in the air, scored two goals in April to help fire his side up the table and is currently enjoying arguably his best season since the 2013/14 campaign when he scored three games for Ajax Amsterdam.
The former Ajax Cape Town man played four games in the UEL for Vitesse this season when he made the move from Amsterdam, and will now be hoping to give them a second bite of the cherry in 2018/19 alongside clubs like the Gunners, Feyenoord and Burnley.
Meanwhile, Gift Links was unable to help Alassiouty reach their first ever Egypt Cup final last night as they were beaten 4-3 in a penalty shootout by Smouha, having drawn 1-1 in 120 minutes of play.
