Serero Agrees To Three-Year Dutch Deal
Thulani Serero Has Reportedly Agreed A Three-Year Deal At Vitesse Arnhem In Holland
Bafana Bafana international, Thulani Serero, has agreed to a three-year deal with Dutch side, Vitesse Arnhem.
The 27-year-old has endured a difficult time at Ajax Amsterdam of late, however, his contract expires at the end of this month and he has been on the lookout for the next stage in his career.
According to De Telegraaf in the Netherlands, ‘Cream’ has agreed to a long-term contract with the club. Siya sources understand that he will put pen to paper today.
Serero had been linked with a return to South Africa amid interest from the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, although it was always thought that his first preference was to try and remain in Europe.
The Siya crew have been informed that Serero will undergo his medical with Vitas today before finalising his move ahead of July 1st when he will officially join the club.
Vitesse is a partner club of English Premier League champions, Chelsea, with several Blues players spending loan spells with the Dutch club as part of their development.
Serero's new club, if he does complete his move today, will be playing UEFA Europa League football next season after finishing fifth in the Eredivisie in 2016/17.
Vitesse have since confirmed that the player is undergoing his medical and will be unveiled later today if all goes well.
