There were wild title celebrations in Cairo after Pitso Mosimane and Al Ahly celebrated their record-breaking CAF Champions League title.

It was a match that remained on a knife’s edge from the first whistle, but it was Mosimane’s men who reigned supreme in the end.

For Mosimane, his side’s goals came courtesy of Amr El Solia and Mohamed Magdy, while it was Shikabala who struck for Zamalek.

After the final whistle, there were raucous celebrations by the Red Eagles, both inside the stadium as well as in the Egyptian capital Cairo, where fans took to the streets.

There was a touching moment for ‘Jingles’ as his wife and agent Moira Tlhagale -who negotiated his historic move to Al Ahly- joined in on the celebrations on the field.

It was an historic moment for both Al Ahly and Mosimane. For the Egyptians, it saw their seven-year drought for the title come to an end as they lifted their ninth CAF Champions League trophy, while for Mosimane, he became only the third coach to win the title with two different teams.
