Tashreeq Matthews seems to be finding his feet nicely in the Netherlands at Utrecht as he continues his loan from Borussia Dortmund.
The 18-year-old attacker joined Utrecht last month due to the fact that rules in Germany meant that the 18-year-old was unable to play in domestic games for Dortmund’s youth sides at present, with former Mamelodi Sundowns captain, Alje Schut, coming with a solution that would allow him to get regular game-time in Holland.
Matthews has been given time to adjust with the club's U19s as he gets used to life in the Netherlands and settled in with his host family, and he has now got two goals and three assists in his last two matches, also winning a penalty for his side.

The Siya crew spoke to Schut about Matthews' time on loan from Dortmund so far, with the ex-Masandawana star saying, “Tashreeq is doing well… After a period where he was settling in, found a host family and got used to our style of play, he is now finding his feet and is starting to excel in our highest youth team. We hope that he will continue like this to come into contention for our senior teams.”
Having enjoyed a good start to life with Utrecht's U19s, the talented teen will now be focused on working his way up through the ranks before the 2018/19 season is out.
