Bongani Zungu’s Vitoria Guimaraes will be playing in the Taca De Portugal final this weekend against Portuguese giants, Benfica and the midfielder’s former teammates have wished the player good luck ahead of the encounter.
Guimaraes booked their spot in the final of the Taca De Portugal after a 3-3 aggregate draw against Chaves, which saw Zungu’s side progress to the final on the away goal ruling.
Now, the two Portuguese sides will lock horns on Sunday, May 28, in the final of the competition and the 24-year-old’s former teammates, Keagan Dolly, Khama Billiat and Surprise Moriri has sent their well wishes to Zungu ahead of the encounter.
“I just want to wish a friend and a true role model Bongani "ntwana yam e strong" Zungu the best of luck for the final. Keep inspiring, we are proud of you!” Dolly told Soccer Laduma.
“I just want to say I’m happy for him and good luck to him and the team may God keep blessing him,” Billiat said.
“I just want to wish him good luck, he must have a good game. He must know that every time he plays, he is representing the whole of South Africa. We are expecting him to do well. From everyone in South Africa, we wish him good luck,” Moriri added.
