Phiri's Brondby Miss Out On Europa League Spot

Denmark

Lebogang Phiri's Brondby failed to progress to the Europa League group stages after losing 4-1 on aggregate to Panathinaikos.

Phiri started for Brondby and lasted the full 90 minutes, but was unable to help his side overturn a 3-1 first leg loss.

Brondby will now turn their focus to domestic matters on Sunday, where they will face FC Copenhagen.

Azerbaijan

Dino Ndlovu's Qarabag had something to smile about, after they booked their spot in the Europa League group stages after beating Goteborg 3-1 on aggregate.

Ndlovu was introduced in the 83rd minute for Qarabag on Thursday evening for his second appearance for the club.

Qarabag will find out their fate in the group stage draw on Friday.
