Bongani Khumalo made his debut for Colchester United in their 2-0 win over Yeovil Town in the English League One on Tuesday evening.
Khumalo joined the side on Saturday and was handed a starting berth against Yeovil, as Colchester ended their five-game winless run and also claimed their first clean sheet in seven games.
Despite claiming the three points, Colchester remain second bottom in the League One standings, five points adrift of safety.
Dean Furman lasted the full 90 minutes in Doncaster Rovers' 2-1 loss to Swindon Town in their League One clash at the Keepmoat Stadium.
With that loss, Rovers missed the chance to creep back into the play-off spot and have now dropped to 12th.
Meanwhile, Kgosi Nthle lasted the full duration, as Peterborough United lost 2-0 to Preston North End in a League One tie.
Nthle's Posh have dropped down to seventh in the standings, one point adrift of a play-off position.
