Former Bafana Bafana star, Sibusiso Zuma, has said that a move to Leeds United for Andile Jali would be a great move for the midfielder because it would mean that he stands a chance to be promoted to the Premier League.
Jali appears to be on his way out of K.V. Oostende in Belgium, having attracted interest from both Mamelodi Sundowns and English Championship side, Leeds United.
Now Zuma, who also enjoyed a career abroad, has said that a move to Lucas Radebe’s former club would be good for Jali, because, if he earns promotion with the Yorkshire-based club, he will be playing in the English Premier League.
“Of course I would say that it would be great for Andile (Jali) to play in the Championship, because it’s still a high level of football and he would have a chance of playing in the Premier League,” he told Soccer Laduma.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns player praised Jali before admitting that he still harbours hope of seeing the 26-year-old returning to Mzansi.
“He’s a very good player and age is still on his side, so whatever happens he’ll still have a point to prove. And I’m hoping that he might make the move back to South Africa,” he concluded.
