Thulani Serero was on target for Ajax as he opened the scoring in their 3-0 win over FC Utrecth on Sunday.
The South African midfielder has been enjoying regular game time for the Dutch giants of late, despite some injury niggles.
Serero was highly impressive on the day, despite not starting as he came on in the 25th minute for Siem de Jong and went on to put in a Man of the Match shift.
"It's not bad at all, 3-0 against Utrecht. We were supposed to win this game, it was very important so I think we did well," he said after the game, talking to the club's official website.
"I was not in the starting XI, but if you are on the bench you need to be ready because anything can happen."
Regarding his goal, he continued, "It was a very good moment, I think the goal was very important, to get the confidence up and it was just before the break so it was good for us.
"As a player you are never satisfied, you always want to be better."
Davy Klaassen and Danny Hoesen netted the other two goals.
Elsewhere, Siyanda Xulu played out the entire 90 minutes as Rostov drew 2-2 away to Kuban Krasnodar.
