Sameehg Doutie has left the Indian Premier League to join a club in Sweden.
The Siya crew has it on good authority that Doutie has joined IFK Varnamo in Swedish second division on a short-term deal, after parting ways with Jamshedpur FC in the Indian Premier League.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Doutie's representative Ayanda Sigwili confirmed the move for the exciting winger, who turned out for Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates among other teams in the PSL, before leaving for oveseas in 2015.
“Sameehg Doutie has joined IFK Varnamo in Sweden. It is a second division club. He has joined the team on a short-term contract,” confirmed Sigwili.
“Sameehg is happy to have joined a new club. He is happy for the new experience at a new club. He is looking forward to challenging himself and to play competitive football in a new team,” concluded the representative.
Doutie joins fellow South African in former Pirates striker, Kermit Erasmus in the Swedish second division. Erasmus is with AFC Eskilstuna.
