News reaching the Siya crew is that South African youngster, Thabo Cele has made a decision on his next club.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, Egyptian giants Al Ahly were keen on signing the youngster after a failed move to Europe, this after an impressive display at the Tokyo Olympics - Kaizer Chiefs, AmaZulu and Maritzburg United also had Cele on their radar.
However, Soccer Laduma has now since established that despite Premier Soccer League interest, the star midfielder has opted to continue his career abroad, and is believed to have agreed a deal in principle with newly-promoted side RKS Radomiak based in Radom, Poland.
Cele trained with Radomiak in August where we he spent some time being assessed by the club, but a possible move collaposed when the two parties failed to agree terms.
Sources have indicated that DStv Premiership clubs, Chiefs and AmaZulu had joined the race for Cele, with Orlando Pirates believed to be monitoring the situation.
Maritzburg felt they had also made progress by tabling a serious offer, but it now appears as though Cele has opted to remain in Europe. He was in Portugal before he became a free agent on June 30 prior to the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
According to insiders, Cele is still in Europe with discussions at an advanced stage with Radomiak and the junior international very likely to continue his career there.
"It a matter of time before Cele signs a deal, it is a three-horse race in South Africa against two outside teams," an insider revealed to the Siya crew.
"AmaZulu and Pirates have sent their official bids, while Kaizer Chiefs has not responded to his request on the offer tabled. There are also overseas talks."
