It was successful Tuesday night for South Africans Tokelo Rantie and Kgosietsile Ntlhe abroad as both their respective teams won while Dean Furman was on the losing side of things.
Rantie’s AFC Bournemouth ran out 3-1 winners over Reading in an English Championship (Division One) match at the Goldsands Stadium.
The Bafana Bafana striker was an unused substitute, but it was still a good away win for Bournemouth as they moved up to tenth place on the league table on 58 points. A win in their next match combined with other results going their way could see them move as high as seventh.
Furman started on the bench for Doncaster Rovers against Bolton Wanderers, but an early injury to Richard Wellens saw him introduced in the 34th minute.
Sadly, Furman was unable to prevent his side from losing after they went down 2-1 in their English Championship match.
The result sees them drop to 19th place on the table with 43 points, only two places and seven points outside of the relegation zone.
Ntlhe played 84 minutes of Peterborough United’s 2-0 win over Gillingham in an English League One match at London Road Stadium.
The result sees Ntlhe’s side up to sixth in the league table on 61 points, still a massive 15 points off the team in front of them in fifth place.
