South Africa’s Daylon Claasen scored the fourth and final goal in Lech Poznan’s 4-0 win over Ruch Chorzow in a Polish Ekstraklasa league match at the INEA Stadion on Wednesday night.
The win sees Claasen’s side up to second in the Polish top flight on 40 points, seven behind league leaders Legia Warszawa.
Claasen was a second half substitute, coming on in the 71st minute, but it only took him six minutes to find the back of the net for his second goal of the season.
It was a slow start to the game by Poznan, but they came to life just after the hour mark when Szymon Pawlowski gave them the lead in the 36th minute.
Kasper Hamalainen then doubled their lead two minutes later to give Poznan a 2-0 lead at the break.
Lukas Teodorczyk put the result beyond doubt in the 68th minute before Claasen added the icing on the cake with his goal in the 77th minute.
Lech Poznan have now secured a Europa League spot next season.
