Erasmus Makes Debut At Rennes
Kermit Erasmus made his debut for Rennes in Ligue 1 on Sunday as they drew 2-2 with Olympique Lyonnais.
The former Orlando Pirates man came on in the 80th minute to replace fellow forward Pedro Henrique.
The 25-year-old joined the French outfit in January from Orlando Pirates, but has had to wait two months to make his senior debut, after making two appearances for the reserve side, scoring one goal in the process.
Also in Ligue 1, Anele Ngcongca had the misfortune of experiencing a 9-0 defeat at the hands of a rampant PSG as he made the Troyes starting lineup. He was substituted in the 64th minute.
Elsewhere, May Mahlangu and Ayanda Patosi faced each other in Belgium as Sint-Truiden and Lokeren drew 1-1.
Mahlangu started in the centre of midfield for Sint-Truiden while Patosi played wide on the left for Lokeren before being replaced in the 79th minute.
Meanwhile, Darren Keet had a tough night at Anderlecht as his Kortrijk side lost 3-0 in the Belgian Pro League.
The visitors conceded in the sixth minute and were buried after the interval as the hosts scored in the 49th and 60th minutes.
Staying with the Pro League, Andile Jali started in midfield for Oostende as they suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat at Genk.
Lebogang Phiri made the Brondby starting lineup as they edged out Randers in the Danish Superliga. Mandla Masango warmed the Randers bench and didn't make an appearance.
