A South African international midfielder has been forced to put his overseas career on hold and return home amid the disruptions due to the worldwide Coronavirus outbreak.
COVID-19 has forced all the major football leagues and other sporting codes into suspension, as the authorities are working around the clock on the plans to bring the spread of the deadly disease to an end.
The Siya crew has learnt that Bafana Bafana midfielder Ayanda Patosi is currently back in Mzansi, after the league in Iran where he plies his trade has also been suspended like many others around the globe.
Patosi, 27, plays for Foolad Football Club in the Persian Gulf Pro League, having joined them on a six-month loan deal from Cape Town City in January.
The Khayelitsha-born player previously also played for United Arab Emirates club Baniyas, since parting ways with Lokeren in Belgium.
