It was a successful night abroad for South Africans as Tokelo Rantie found the back of the net, Bongani Khumalo helped his side keep a clean sheet and Ayanda Patosi inspired his team to come from behind to earn a draw.
Tokelo Rantie scored the winning goal in AFC Bournemouth’s 2-1 win over Huddersfield Town in an English Championship match on Tuesday night.
Lewis Grabban gave Bournemouth the lead from the penalty spot before Calum Woods levelled matters for Huddersfield Town. Rantie then saved the day for his side with a fantastic goal in the 72nd minute to seal all three points.
The result sees Bournemouth up to 14th on the league table on 34 points, only three points off tenth placed Middlesbrough.
Bongani Khumalo also had a successful night in the English Championship, playing the full 90 minutes in his sides impressive 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic.
The win sees Doncaster move further away from the relegation zone, moving three places clear of the drop zone in 19th place on 28 points.
Dean Furman was an unused substitute for Doncaster.
Over in Belgium, Ayanda Patosi was a second half substitute in Lokeren’s 1-1 draw against KV Oostende in their first leg Belgium cup semifinal.
Patosi made a big difference in the second half for Lokeren as he inspired his side to come from a goal behind to earn the draw as he had a big hand in the equalising goal scored by Hamdi Harbaoui.
Andile Jali joined KV Oostende from Orlando Pirates earlier in the week, but he was not involved yet.
