Pitso Remains Unbeaten At Al Ahly After Comeback Win

Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly rallied back from two goals to snatch a 3-2 victory over Arab Contractors in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday evening.

Mosimane made three changes from the side that was held to a goalless draw by National Bank Egypt, as shot-stopper Ali Lotfi, defender Ibrahim El Hanafi and Zambian striker Walter Bwalya all got rare starts.

The hosts had a chance to grab an early lead in just second minute after Kahraba found space on the left side of the six-yard box and fired a strike that was saved by shot-stopper Hassan Shanin.

Al Ahly kept on fashioning chances but they went a goal down with seven minutes left of the first stanza after Ayman Ashraf deflected Basem Ali's shot into his own net.

Seifeddine Jaziri doubled the lead on the brink of half-time with a strike from close-rnage after a through ball by Mohamed Zaky as the Red Devils went to the break trailing by two goals.

With Mosimane's charges putting the visitors under pressure after the break, Taher Mohamed pulled a goal back on the hour-mark against his former side with a strike from outside the box.

Second-half substitute Mohamed Sherif secured the equaliser for Al Ahly in the last 20 minutes with a close range strike after a headed pass by Hamdi Fathi from a corner.

Mohamed Magdi Kafsha completed the turnarond for the Red Devils as he bagged the winning goal ten minutes before time with a curling strike into the bottom corner to send the side top of the standings.
