Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has been putting his charges through their paces this week as he prepares for one of the most defining weeks of his career.

What lies ahead for the 56-year-old coach is an Abou Qir Fertilizers SC team that he will face in the quarter-finals of the Egyptian Cup which will take place on the 21st of November, while a familiar foe in Zamalek lie in wait just six days later in the CAF Champions League final first leg.
Mosimane has received a boost after all his players tested negative for COVID-19 following their return from their respective national teams this week.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach, who is yet to taste defeat as Al Ahly coach, has already seen the team over the line in the Egyptian League and will be hoping to add two more trophies to his glittering cabinet.

There was also some leisure time for Mosimane and his staff this week as they made their way to the Cairo stadium to watch Egypt’s U-23s take on Brazil U-23’s in the closing match of the friendly tournament hosted in Egypt as part of the preparations for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
The match ended 2-1 in favour of the Young Pharaohs.
