Pitso Mosimane is not messing around in the transfer market after his latest Al Ahly signing was confirmed.
Al Ahly’s official website announced the signing of Ahmed Ramadan, known as Beckham, from Wadi Degla.
The player who had come through the ranks at Al Ahly, re-joined the Red Eagles on a five-year contract. ‘Beckham’ becomes Mosimane’s second transfer following the arrival of Badr Benoun, who was recently signed from Raja Casablanca.
Beckham, who is set to undergo a Covid-19 test, before joining Mosimane’s training session on Tuesday, has spoken about the strength in depth of the Al Ahly squad and reveals his plans to gain the trust of the South African.
"The competition between the players at Al Ahly is very hard, as the team has a lot of superstars in all the positions, which makes us exert more efforts in order to gain the coaching staff's trust," Beckham said speaking to Al Ahly’s official website.
The 23-year-old has also outlined his versatility, which could be a huge asset for Mosimane’s side who have struggled with an ever-increasing injury list this season.
“I can play in more than one position such as a right back, centre back or even as a defensive central midfielder. Also, I don’t mind playing in any new position if that means I’ll help the team. I am looking forward to gain coach Pitso Mosimane’s trust and help the team achieve many victories,” he added.
Pitso Mosimane will face a familiar foe in Egyptians Zamalek, in the CAF Champions League final on Friday.
