Mahlambi Jets Out To Meet Ajax

Phakamani Mahlambi has jetted out of Egypt with Al Ahly to come up against Ajax Amsterdam in Dubai this evening.

The 20-year-old attacker has played his part in helping the Egyptian giants clinch the Premier League title once again this year, and also made his CAF Champions League debut for them during the 0-0 draw with Esperance last week.

Now, with the season almost at an end, Ahly have agreed to face the Dutch giants in the United Arab Emirates, with the game due to take place at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium this evening.

Shortly after playing this evening’s game, Ahly will begin their preparations for their second CCL group stage game of the year when they make the trip to Uganda to face KCCA, a team who were beaten by Township Rollers in Botswana recently.

The Bafana international will be hoping to finish the domestic season on a high and make an impact in the CCL as his first campaign in North Africa comes to an end, and he could also be keen to make an impact on Ajax given their respected standing in European football.
