Bafana Bafana’s Percy Tau is set to get his first taste of playing in England tonight, almost two years after he put pen to paper on a deal with an English club…

The 25-year-old joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Mamelodi Sundowns back in 2018, but work permit struggles meant that he was sent out on loan to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in his first season and then Club Brugge for 2019/20.
Now though, having faced English opposition as Club hosted Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League last week, ‘the Lion of Judah’ should finally get his first taste of football in England this evening as they walk out onto the famous Old Trafford field in the second leg.
Tau was on the plane to England when his side left for Manchester earlier this week, and after starting in the first leg he’ll have been eager to make sure he’s in Philippe Clement’s plans for the Theatre of Dreams this evening.
The Bafana star is yet to score in 2020 having gotten his last goal against KV Mechelen back in December, and tonight would be the perfect chance to break his duck for the year and show Brighton in their own country exactly what they’re missing out on as he hopes to secure a permit in the future.
