Percy Tau scored for the second consecutive match as Anderlecht ended a three-game winless run after defeating Kortrijk in the Belgian Pro League on Friday evening.
The Bafana Bafana star kept his place in the line-up for a seventh straight match after scoring in a four-goal thriller against OH Leuven the last time out.
The visitors had a perfect start after Lukas Nmecha fired them ahead in just the sixth minute with a close range strike at the near post after goalkeeper Adam Jakubech spilled a shot into his path.
Tau doubled the lead for Vincent Kompany's charges on the half-hour mark with a sensational strike from outside the box that beat Jakubech at his near post after he was given space to charge at goal from the right flank, cutting inside.
Kortrijk were piling on the pressure in the closing phase of the first stanza and Eric Ocansey nearly pulled a goal back just before the break with a close range strike that was saved by shot-stopper Hendrik van Crombrugge, who preserved Anderlecht's two-goal cushion going to the break.
Anderlecht were absorbing the pressure early in the second stanza and Nmecha made it 3-0 and got his brace in the 65th minute after Tau broke away on the left channel and delivered a cut-back that Francis Amuzu scuffed on the path of the Manchester City loanee, who struck home at the back post.
With the three points pretty much in the bag, Kompany withdrew Tau in the last quarter of an hour and brought on Josh Cullen in his place.
IIombe Mboyo pulled a goal back for the hosts in the last three minutes from the penalty spot but it was too little too late as Anderlecht held on to clinch a convincing 3-1 win that ended a three-game winless run.
