Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has snapped up another Orlando Pirates technical team member to join him at the Club of the Century.
Back in October 2020 when he first joined Al Ahly from Mamelodi Sundowns, Mosimane took along former Pirates analyst Yusha Said, who joined the 57-year-old alongside technical analyst Musi Matlaba and Kabelo Rangoagoa – Cavin Johnson joined later on.
Now, with both Said and Johnson having parted ways with the Red Eagles, Mosimane wasted no time in replacing the duo with highly rated Pirates technical analyst, Kyle Solomons, who as reported by the Siya crew, has been on the radar of Mosimane for some time now.
In addition to joining Al Ahly, Solomons also joined the MT Sports stable, which is run by Mosimane’s wife Moira Thlagale, who also looks after the coach’s business interests.
“We are proud to announce that @kylesolomon8 has joined our family. He is an accomplished Performance Analyst and until recently was with @orlandopirates. Kyle has now called @AlAhly his new home. Welcome Kyle, we’re looking forward to working with you #mtsportssignings” the Agency tweeted from their official account.
In addition, reports out of Egypt have suggested that Reda Shehata, the current head coach of Egyptian topflight side, El Gouna is the man identified by Mosimane as the perfect candidate to replace Johnson, who is poised for a move to Pirates.
