At one point he was flying for Bafana Bafana, but May Mahlangu has become almost a forgotten man in South Africa of late – now, 30, he’s signed a two-year deal in Europe…
The former Helsingborg and Goteborg player has played in Sweden, Turkey, Belgium, Romania and Bulgaria prior to a loan switch to Ordabasy in Kazakhstan last year, and now the club has confirmed that they have made his loan from Ludogorets a permanent move following an impressive campaign.
Mahlangu played 29 games for the Kazakh outfit in 2019, scoring three goals, as they went on to finish in third place and secure a spot in next season’s UEFA Europa League.
Now it has been announced that the former Bafana international has committed the next two years of his career with the club until 2022, and will be eager to hit the ground running as the 2020 season gets underway next month.
The tireless midfielder played only a handful of games for Ludogorets during his time there, but a fresh start is on the cards now that he is now officially an Ordabasy player.
