South African midfielder, May Mahlangu, has managed to secure himself a new contract in Europe, putting pen to paper with Turkish club, Torku Konyaspor.
The Siya crew reported yesterday that the banned Bafana Bafana midfield man was on the verge of signing with the club after arriving in the country for talks, with the player being mobbed by excited fans while attending their 1-0 win.
Now, according to Siya sources in Europe, the tireless midfielder has secured himself a contract with the Turkish club, with just the final touches of the move to be concluded.
It remains to be seen what length of contract the South African has managed to secure in Turkey, but the player himself will be delighted to have landed himself a deal and be able to get back to his football again.
Mahlangu put in some fine performances in Sweden for both Helsingborgs IF and Goteborg during his time there, and will be excited to take on a new challenge in the Turkish Super Lig.
